Dolphin Swimming School is currently the biggest indoor heated, privately owned, ALLERGIE FREE, Swimming School in Pretoria. Ezanda Nel, owner of Dolphin for the past 17 years, ensures that each child receives personal attention from a qualified swimming instructor in an indoor heated pool throughout the year.
We aim to provide our clients with the best possible personal coaching on an individual level at the most reasonable rate. We help to develop strong athletes to mature with a passion for the sport and to establish swimming as a recognized sport in every young person's formation. Dolphin Swimming School’s instructors are accredited Learn-to-Swim instructors.
We also progress from Learn-to-swim to advanced swimming and training for galas and triathlon and specialize in hydrotherapy for sports injuries and aqua aerobics (H2O Fit).
We have an annual gala for all our swimmers. The gala program includes events for the beginners, development phase and the advanced swimmers. Included in the program is a 6m noodle event, for those still working on water safety, but the program also includes 50m events of all the strokes. The main purpose of our gala is to prepare the swimmers for the provincial age group galas and school galas.
Furthermore Dolphin's involvement with Modern Biathlon and Iron man Competitions, enable coaching to distinguish swimming as an essential part of Modern Biathlons. Dolphin's unique strategies identify and build on athlete’s strengths, and minimize athlete's weaknesses.
Ezanda Nel, owner and managing director of Dolphin Swimming School, started coaching in 1991 and started the Dolphin Swimming School in 1994 with 1 coach (herself) and 20 swimmers. Seventeen years later the swimming school has grown to 350 members and 8 instructors.
